Can you tell me a story about birds?

We have a new passion in our home: birds! Inspired by everything she’s learned about nature in kindergarten, our daughter has become fascinated with birds. She’s well on her way to memorizing our North American Birds books – as well as to creating her own!

With this rich interest comes a new question at bedtime every night: “Can you tell me a story about birds?”

Yes, I would love to!

And after several bedtime visits to Little Duck Town, we decided that I should make it a story to share with everyone.

I’m really enjoying working on it with help from my 12×12 critique group as well as my own little reader!
